What it looks like

Cover of Solo Business Finance Kit, Six Google Sheets and Excel Workbooks
The Break Even sheet from the Break Even Calculator: price and contribution per sale pulled from elsewhere in that workbook, then how many sales a month cover the fixed costs and what that is in revenue, then how long a tested sales volume takes to recover the startup costs.
The Weekly Summary sheet from the 13 Week Cash Flow Forecast, showing the first six of its thirteen weeks: week starting date, opening balance, money in, money out, net movement and closing balance down the rows, with week 5's closing balance of $1,425.00 shaded red because it falls under the minimum cash figure of $1,500.00 set on Setup, and below the table the check line that reads zero when the opening balance plus the thirteen net movements matches the week 13 closing balance.
The Aging Summary sheet from the Invoice Tracker: what is still owed split into not yet due, 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days, each with a total and an invoice count, totalling $11,096.25 across ten invoices, then a reconciliation line reading zero because the five buckets account for every outstanding invoice, and below it the same five buckets again for six named client businesses, one row each.

What it does

What you get

Six workbooks, each one answering a different question:

  • Break Even Calculator - Does the business cover its costs?
  • 13 Week Cash Flow Forecast Template - What does the next quarter look like week by week?
  • Small Business Bookkeeping Spreadsheet - Where did the money actually go?
  • Invoice Tracker with Receivable Aging - Who has not paid yet, and how late are they?
  • Self Employed Quarterly Tax Organizer - Is the tax money actually set aside?
  • Client Profitability Tracker for Freelancers - Which clients were worth the hours?

Two of them come with a printable PDF as well: a startup cost checklist to work through on paper, and a one page per period sheet for the tax set aside.

Every workbook opens in Excel and imports into Google Sheets, and carries its own Start Here sheet with the steps, the color key and what it is not. One guide covers all six and says which file to open when.

The six files do not link to each other, on purpose. A chain of linked workbooks breaks the moment one is renamed, and it would stop you using just the one you need. Each stands alone.

Bought one at a time these come to $129.

Who it is for

A freelancer, consultant, or single owner business that keeps its own books and hands a summary to an accountant at the end of the year. It fits an operation with up to a few hundred entries a year, one bank account, and somewhere between three and thirty clients.

It is not built for a business running a payroll, one that has to value stock, or one selling through a marketplace, which has its own fee arithmetic this kit does not do.

What it is not

This is not accounting software. If that is what you want, buy that instead. Nothing here connects to a bank, a card or a payment processor, nothing imports a statement, and nothing reconciles anything. You type your entries in.

It calculates no tax, prepares no return, and gives no tax advice. Where a workbook asks for a rate, a percentage or a date, that is a figure your accountant gives you. The sample values in those cells are samples, not recommendations.

It is nine files: six spreadsheets, two printable PDFs and a guide. Nothing runs, nothing updates by itself, and nothing is hosted anywhere.
